We began today with beautiful sunny skies, and the air outside is nice and crisp with temperatures in the low 60s across most of the Seattle Metro area. However, temperatures will drop substantially over the next couple days as a upper-level trough drops over the region and gives us our coldest temperatures of the year.
Temperatures will be at their coldest on Saturday morning as the upper-level trough centers over the Pacific Northwest, delivering cool northerly flow into the area.
We will also see a chance of precipitation over the next couple days as an area of surface low pressure develops off the coast of Vancouver Island. Showers will develop Wednesday and persist through Saturday, with Thursday bring the heaviest rain to the area.

Snow levels will be well below pass level with this system, and things are looking even snowier in the extended as we get even heavier precipitation next week with continued below-average temperatures.
